UNITY

The Body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts, and though all the parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were baptized by one Spirit, into one body 1 Corinthians 12: 12-13. We as Christians are united by this. We serve for the glory of the Lord. And as Christian we must stand together in support and love for one another.

United We Are

One hand
one heart
one soul
It's you who keeps me whole

Two feet
Two eyes
One path
It's you who carries me from where danger lies

One life
one world
one Creator
It's you I adore

One Spirit
One Father
One Son
It's Your will to be done

Forever and always
United we will be with
One mind
One body
One heart
Awaiting a fresh start
That only you can give

7 Candles

Candles are beautiful. I love them. I love to stare at their flame as it flickers. I love what they often represent. Tonight I light 7 candles because Jesus is my light. As long as my light is forever I can get through anything life throws at me.

7 Candles

I light a candle of repentance
As I kneel to pray for deliverance
and pray for Him to shed some light
on my messed up day
I ended my day in darkness like the night
I must now confess before I sleep all the sins I do keep

I light a candle for forgiveness
for all the sins I do confess
Conviction is near
The Lord's wrath I do fear
I am truly sorry for all I've done

I light a candle for mercy and grace
Even though I do sin
His anger holds no place
His love will conquer all
and He will catch me when I fall

I light a candle for hope
as I begin a new day
in hopes My Lord will pave my way
as I travel down the road to serve
and that He'll guide me around each curve

I light a candle for faith
that my daily bread He will bring
filled with His strength and wisdom for my day
and to Him praises I will forever sing

I light a candle for love
A love so grand
that it can only come from God's Mighty Hand
May it be forever flowing
into our hearts and forever will this candle stay glowing

I light a candle in remembrance
of my second chance
For God so loved the world He sent is only son
so that His will could be done
We are loved and free
Keep this candle flame within our hearts
burning forever
and He will be there with us throughout each and every endeavour.

John 8:12When Jesus spoke to the people again he said "I am the light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life"

Protect Our Children

Today's poem is all about taking care of our children and raising them to know The Lord and enjoy the blessings he gives. There are many fine things in this world that any child would love to have. But the blessings we receive from The Lord should be their first desire. We spend too much time giving them worldly things in hopes they will be happy. Is it really truly what they need or want. How many times do you as a parents come across a game or book or anything that you remember doing as a child and wish you could do it again. Well I know a lot of us are more frail and can't do cartwheels. but when was the last time you put everything down played like you were a kid again. That's what our children need to see us do. They need to see mom, dad, grandma, grandpa auntie, uncle turn into a kid again. Not forever but just for a moment. We are after all God's children so why can't we act like one just for a moment? Go ahead jump in that puddle, slide down that slide, play tag or hide and seek. If we want children to grow up strong we need to set the example. By praying, playing, speaking, walking, laughing, learning, forgiving, repenting this is how our children will get the most out of life. And who knows ya might have fun yourself. So stop growing up, let God guide you, play with that jar of play doh but most of all embrace the life of your child. Show them it's okay to be young, then teach them how to stay young while getting old. Protect them from the worldly things that take away their innocence.

Protect God’s Children We Must

Hands held, smiles on
The children are out for the day
Their only care is what to play
Come on now let’s take a peek
They are just about to play hide and seek.

So curious and adventurous
Carefree and spirited
Nothing seems to let them down

Yet somewhere along the way
they become lost and leave it all behind
Forgetting where to turn when in a bind
Try we must to bring them home
For some feel it’s too late
And choose a different fate

So curious and adventurous
Carefree and spirited
Nothing seems to let them down

Let’s hold hands, across the lands
Spread our smiles for miles
Bow and pray for our children
In hopes they will stay
Where they can frolic and play

So curious and adventurous
Carefree and spirited
Nothing seems to let them down

Sounds simple enough
All that protecting and stuff
Obedience can only come when we
Ourselves heed this advice
When we are lost and start to roam
Who is there to bring us home

So curious and adventurous
Carefree and spirited
Nothing seems to let them down

Our Lord will be there with open arms
Stand firm in the Lord
For His strength we can afford
His umbrella is large and protects us all
Just need to tear down the wall

So curious and adventurous
Carefree and spirited
Nothing seems to let them down

We must lift up our children
To the Lord in hopes He’ll bless and protect them
Knowing our children are sheltered by the Lord
Is but only half our battle.
 showing our children the way
is a command we must embrace
each and every day

Mathew14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Forever Flowing

I had posted this before under another poem but felt it had more effect if it stood alone. So I tweaked it a bit and here it is again. You never have to wonder when The Lord will pour out his Love for us. We just have to reach up and ask because it's forever flowing and ready for us.

Forever Flowing

Today I reach my hand up high
To the Father in the sky
I wait patiently
For His love to be poured so gently
On to me
I hold it tight
Through the night
Until the next tomorrow
then I reach my hand out to a friend
To spread His love cause it keeps no end
His love it flows forever
forever shall I reach up high
For my daily shower
of My Lord’s power
It is with this I am cleansed
And ready to see what’s round the bend
That my Majesty has planned for me
His love is here to take hold and
Spread like the crimson red that trickled
Down from within
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus
to deliver us from evil and sin
So I will reach my hand up high
In hopes my cup He will
Overfill
My Lord’s love is forever flowing.
Come be filled.

1 Chronicals 16:34Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Great recipe for daily bread

A recipe for your daily bread. Yes I decided to have a little fun and go a different route. This is a recipe like no other. Give it a try I'm sure you'll be coming back for more!

Daily Bread
Begin first by opening your bible to your favourite verse or try:
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and
will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

While reading, mix together these ingredients
1 bushel of sin
2 quarts of confession
2 litres of repentance
1 tub of forgiveness
1 gallon of mercy
Cream it all together. Be sure to beat the lumps out of sin until smooth
Set aside and mix the next 4 ingredients while reading:
2 Corin. 6:6 in purity, understanding, patience, and
kindness in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love.
3 cups of kindness
3 cups of caring
3 cups of patience
3 cups of love

Combine the 1st and 2nd mixture while you read this scripture:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:22-23

Drizzle over top:
1 cup of truth
1 cup of faith
1 cup of hope

Rise once with a Blessing
Allow reshaping to take place
Then Rise a second time with a Prayer(Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Bake with an AMEN until golden and warmed through
Serve in Bountiful slices to all who ask

Be sure to repeat this Daily for the freshest results!
Jesus declared:I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes will never go thirsty Mathew 6:35.

My Special Little Sister

Our children are so vulnerable to so much now a , bullying, peer pressure, social expectations. It's a hard world for them to grow in. It is this reason that we feel more joy when one of our children turns to God. A short time ago a young daughter of a friend made that leap of faith and was baptized the same day I was. I was so thrilled to share in this moment with her. I wrote her this little poem to show her how special she truly is.

For My Special Little Sister

There is a special girl
For Christ she gives a whirl
Dedicated and devoted
Her young faith will be truly noted
While most are drooling over hair doos and shoes
She sets her sights for a prize
More cosmic in size
For the Lord has called her name
And she did obey
Many were in dismay
This special girl held true to his words
Up on the podium poised like a bird,
 She delivered to all
Her message of obedience
For the Lord of beauty and radiance
In hopes He’d pour down on her
Some of that heavenly myrrh
That more people need to feel
My dear special little sister
Received the best part of the deal
As I stood there to greet her when all was done
I knew the Holy Spirit had surely come
Through her eyes we see
The power that be
Here for the taking as long as we ask
Praise the Lord for the innocence of this child
May we look to her before going WILD!

1 Timothy 4:12Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

OASIS

Every Wednesday morning at my church there is a women's coffee hour. It's time for worship, fellowship, bible study and bascially just a break from the hustle and bustle of our week. One day I thought I'd put the experience into a poem. I haven't been able to attend this group for awhile now. I sure do miss all my sisters. This is for them. This mid week group gives us the feeling of  our Oasis in our stressful or dry week.

OASIS

Week to week
Young and old
Our Saviour’s hands we do hold
Our heads up high to worship
He who’s in the sky
Hearts are open, sharing
Spiritual hunger is what we seek
Our weekly rendezvous is perfect
When things seem bleak
Pull up a chair
Fill up a cup
Let the Lord come
Take your worries and lift you up
For it’s refreshment hour
Where the women gain their power
To fight the evil one
Let the Lord’s work be done
Come sneak away to an OASIS
That will leave you filled with Heaven’s Bliss
Open your hearts and souls to the
Glory belonging to the Lord
Praise the Lord for our meeting place
Where the women meet and learn of His Grace
For because of Him we are Free
Now ain’t that the right place to be?

Hebrews 10:24-25And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hope for Tomorrow?

I choose to live with this hope and it helps to make my tomorrows better. What about you?

Better Tomorrows

For better tomorrows
Sometimes we must feel some sorrows
Sometimes it is what we don’t like to feel
That is the best part of the deal
Some choose to ignore the message in a tragedy
So they turn and flee
To a world so dark and glum
It’s easy to lose hope
And to think what’s done is done
We tell ourselves to push aside the memory
Forgetting all too well
That forever in our hearts it will dwell
Thus ignoring the joys that do come from sorrows
We’ve been given this promise
Of complete Heavenly bliss
All we need to do is reach up to Heaven
With our hearts
And ask the Lord Jesus in our lives be part
For through Him comes hope and healing
Now does that not sound appealing?
So why wallow in pity and sorrow
When you can have Hope
For a peaceful better tomorrow.

Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence Lord.

My Journey?

Most of us spend a lot of time, pondering what our purpose here on Earth is. Some never know it, some ignore it and some embrace. Myself, I've travelled a very bumpy, windy, painful, up and down kind of hill most of my life. I travelled this till about 5 years ago then started looking for ways to travel down a new one. I found one 3 years ago. No I'm on the best journey of my life, down the road that was made for me. I pray that one day you'll find your road too.

My Earthly Journey

A twisty, windy, hilly road
T’is what I’ve always trod
In search of a meaning to my life on Earth
I’ve searched in the lowest of low places
In the highest of highs
Just to find what’s for me below those skies
What shall my purpose be,
The Lord hath planned for me?
T’is said He’s named a purpose for every soul
So then what be my goal?
Tell me dear Lord
Where is the road to Your Humble Abode?
How shall I travel there?
Whom will I meet along the way?
You shower me with blessings everyday
You are so good to me
So then where shall I go now?
Extend me Your hands and walk with me
Lead me and I will follow
For You are the Light that guides me through.

Psalm 119:105 your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Thank you for being a friend

In life there are many people that we encounter that in different degrees. Some help us for but a moment, others stay with us from childhood to adulthood. God knows who we need in our lives to meet our needs and people who need us to help them. I've had many friendships, acquaintances , co workers, neighbours that have come in and out of my life numerous times. Very few have stayed true, but there are a select few who have really made a difference in my life and really are genuine about our friendship. God knows who they are and what purpose they have in my life. Life gets busy and we forget about each other. Years ago I had written to my friends I was leaving behind when I was going away to college. Now almost 23 years later I have rewritten a good portion of it. There are many new friends in my life now and some faithful older friends. To these wonderful gifts/friends, from our Heavenly Father, I thank you for being my friend. This is also to honour the birthday of one of my oldest and dearest friends who ended her battle with cancer just a few years ago  now(June 8, 2015).
Love ya Donna and I know you'll remember when I wrote this.
Till we meet again....

Thank you For Being a Friend

I am as blessed as blessed can be
To have this beautiful gift sent to me
To my friend I want to say
A Ring is round and has not an end
This is how long I’ll be a friend
We sail through ups and downs
And know each other by heart
It hurts when we're apart

I am as blessed as blessed can be
to have such a gift sent to me
We seem as inseparable as can be
Always there when we need
 even when we’d rather flee
There will be a time when we must part our ways
It will be sad,
I pray our friendship stays
As true as when it was new
but if our hearts belongs to our Lord
I know that together forever we can remain
No matter the borders
No matter the mountains in our way
As long as friendship is filled with the Lord
We will be together again someday.

I am as blessed as blessed can be
To have such a gift sent to me.
God sends us friends to help us on our way
Friends to remind us to keep our faith and trust
Friends to cry on if we must
Friends who love and care
And stand beside us when we are stripped bare

I am blessed as blessed can be
To have such a gift sent to me.
Thank you friend for all you are
Thank you friend for staying with me whether we were near or far
Thank you friend
for being there until our end
I am blessed as blessed can be
To have such a gift sent to me.

Happy 40th West Highland!

One of the best things about turning 40 tomorrow is I am also sharing this 40th birthday with my church West Highland Baptist Church. We are celebrating 40 years together. In honor of the 40 th celebrations I had written a poem about the church and it's growth over 40 years. Tonight I had the pleasure of sharing this with everyone who attended the Anniversary Banquet. I now would like to share this with everyone. Happy Anniversary to the a great church, I am proud to say I belong to. May God Bless West Highland Baptist Church with 40 more years plus many more of many many blessings!

40 Years of West Highland
Listen folks to the tale I have for you
that started back in 1972
with a group one day
that came to pray
for the spiritually lost,
to build them a place
to learn of the Lord's Grace
And so it began in October 72
at Westwood School
Is that not cool?
Shortly after it was Pastor Baxter who took the lead
to over see every spiritual need
and still they grew
The group needed more space to keep the crowd merry
they began to meet at Terry Berry
and still they grew
They prayed He'd know what to do
And the Lord to them He told
build a church at Garth and Lime ridge Road
the ground was broke in late 74
but the church did not open it's door
until June 1975
When West Highland came alive!
And still they grew.
After a small debate in 78
Pastor Smith came on board
and following direction from the Lord
brought Ministries and classes
to the masses.

Now in 1982 to meet West Highland’s ever changing list
A new Pastor was called to serve
And in came Pastor Lambert Baptist.
Pastor Lambert took West Highland round a curve
And still they grew
With new classes on how to serve
More people came to worship
Then it was time to move to a place more hip
High and grand
Is where West Highland must stand
In 1987, a gift from Heaven,
The building in which we now meet
Opened its doors to one thousand at least
And still they grew
In 1994 Pastor Lambert could stay no more
His call was to be of service in a land far away
But the church members would not go astray
Still 3 years more
 From 1997 to 2004
Then in came Pastor Bartlett to take the lead
And cover West Highland’s every need,
And still they grew
With lots more of the Lord’s work planned
Pastor John Mahaffey came on board with his own vision in sight
In early 2008 with great delight
He helped the office relocate to St. Elizabeth Village
Which opened up the space for any age
To learn of God’s Amazing Grace
It was here that Vision 20/20 came to face.
In hopes to make The Word Fully Known
So now my tale is done
Let’s celebrate as we anticipate
The next branch of His plan
Where ever You take Pastor John and the West Highland clan,
Lord, I pray our church stays strong and true to You!
Thank You Lord for the call to the original group in 1972!

Simply put...T'was on that Cross

May your Easter and Passover be filled only with God and his gifts. God Bless You all!

This one is short, sweet and simple. There is no need for a long intro. Just simply read, you'll get it.

Twas on that Cross

T’was on that cross He loved us most
Through the pain and anguish He endured upon that post
You and I are free all for the price of one
Never thought this could be done!
Who would ever be so kind
As to leave my sins behind
How do I repay such a gift?
A hundred thousand thank you’s are just not enough
Guess I’m just going to have to trust the Lord with my stuff
Cause there is no other who deserves it more
Forever am I grateful for the One
Who endured it all for me.

Hebrews 13:12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.NIV
Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole" NIV

Praises

The Lord is so good. He does things that none of us can explain, understand or accomplish ourselves. When you really put your mind to it and believe you will see the differences He can make. I am forever grateful for what He has brought me through and is bringing me through now. I can't wait to see what He does for me as time goes one. Today this is for the Lord in praise for all He IS!

Praises

Sinful are we born
Our hearts quickly worn
Evil lurks near
Yet we still do not fear
What’s it going to take
To love the One nailed to the cross
How many chains will hold us down
Before we face the crown
our heads hung low
with all the sins we know
forgiveness waits for us
so why all the fuss
Our Lord is merciful and wise
A true advisor above the skies
He’s forever been there for us
Just have to ask
Surrendering our hearts is a big task
But with our Lord can be done
Stretch our arms in praise to Heaven
For all He’s given
Take hold of His offer for
Eternal life and peace
Salvation and forgiveness are at our reach
Praise the Lord when life is a beach
Any other choice would be absurd
So lose yourself in his word
Let our sins be nailed to the cross
As we enjoy freedom from our Boss!
AMEN!

Heaven's best dressed?

I have never been a shopper. Some might say my fashion sense is pretty poor. But I have never really given it much thought. I don't follow fashion trends. I am most comfortable in jeans and tees, jogging pants and sweatshirts. There is a time for dresses and frilly things. To me it all doesn't matter. To some it's a big deal. I remember a friend who had to look just right just to come across the street to my house. It's meaningless to me. I am simple, I wear pretty much no make up 95% of the time. That's me take it like it is. I got to thinking one day about all the nonsense to do with the commercialism of it all, the pressures young people have today about how they look and what they wear. It's actually pretty sad. Then it came to mind, there is only one type of clothing I seek and desire for. This one I must have no doubt about it. I can live without many things but this gown is a must have! Do you agree?

Our Heavenly Cloak

Sifting through clothes of all shades and hues
What designer is in the news
To wear white all year
will give someone a fright
judgment all the time
some clothes we wear can be a crime
lives are started in the nude
but as we grow we turn rude
in our search for the best garment of all
only to find what we seek
is barely enough for the meek
Garments fit for the King is in
what we should be dressed
A garment white as snow
would be perfect for all don't you know
This is the gown I do seek
As I wait for a my prince to arrive
I must do all that I can while I'm alive
to prepare to wear this gown
For my prince will come down
And whisk me away to his palace in the sky
So glamour up if you must
But me I’d rather not
For these fashion rules, my prince, they disgust
Come as you are goes oh so far.!
To wear white all year gives me delight!

Revelation 3:4-5Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not sorted their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

A Prayer and Blessing for Thanksgiving! Edited

This is my prayer and blessing for all my friends and family close and far.  Even though Thanksgiving day isn't actually until Monday, most people gather and celebrate on Sunday. What better day to gather with family and celebrate and give thanks on the Lord's day. So to everyone even those who don't celebrate Thanksgiving day until November, this is my blessing and prayer for you.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY! Please eat responsibly and always save room for pumpkin pie!

Thanksgiving Blessing and Prayer

Father in Heaven, Thank you for the earth on which we roam

Thank you for the land on which we build our homes
Father, Thank you for the morning light
and the moon that gives light to the night
Father in Heaven, Thank you for the creatures big and small
for in some ways they are a blessing to us all

In these days when the air is cold,

it warms me through to know Your heart is pure like gold
It's over flowing love surrounds us like a glove
I am filled with joy and peace as I set my table here
and hope for my family and friends as they draw near
on this fine fall day
this blessing I will ask if I may

Lord, today I pray for peace and tranquility

in the hearts of all my friends and family
May you bless each heart with a perfect helping
of grace and healing
Serve up a delightful side of compassion and forgiveness
and please don't don't forget to top it off with and good scoop of mercy
Open all the eyes with hope and humble pies
then tuck into each heart a cup of Heaven's perfect tea
and lay each one down to rest with a careful touch of your joy and admiration
Please pour this blessing onto every nation
near and far
to remind us all we are here because of who You are
Thank you Lord for giving us the one
so our sins could be undone.
May we always put our trust and faith in you
in everything we do
May we seek your blessing each and every day
and not just on Thanksgiving Day.
AMEN

Lilies

Up here in this part of the world, Easter Lilies tend to be in bloom only in the spring around "Easter". Or so I thought. Well back in 2010 I had kept the bulbs from an Easter Lillies to plant. They following summer I was given a most beautful surprise. My Easter Lillies came into full bloom exactly the same afternoon I had had some prayer counselling. I've never seen this type of lilies outside of the Easter/Spring Season. To me it was comforting, as thought a sign from the Lord that I'll be alright.
Mysterious Lilies

As I gazed out my window the other day
Something peculiar caught my sight
Oh what a delight!
Three Easter Lilies they were
Oh what marvels standing so tall and strong
But why are they here
For in the spring is when they bloom?
It’s not their time of year
So why I wonder?
Why have these beautiful blooms been placed here?
In my garden?
I Believe in Our Creator who stops at none
Until His work is done.
He’ll trim every branch
Bloom every bud until the splendor of His magnificence comes through
So then this is the mystery of my lilies
This simply was His reminder that
He the Lord is with me in every season
Now that’s an awesome reason.

Luke 12:27 Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

True Friends

I've had many friends throughout my life, most of which have moved on and only give me a call once in a blue moon. There are some of those friends that even though we went our separate ways we found our way back to each other. These are true friends. I've also met new friends in the past few years that are more than just friends they are brothers and sisters and I value them very much. So to all my friends, past present and future here is a little something for you.

True Friends

They are there when I need
There when I don’t
Special blessings sent to me
to help do good deeds
They love me when I’m happy
They love me when I’m down
And even when I’m grumpy
And have a frown
Friends are here to teach
But not to preach
Friends are little blessings in disguise
For those rainy days with dark skies
Friends stick by you in times of hurt and sorrow
They sometimes have thoughts you’ll need to borrow
Thoughts to help you through those times
I have but a few of these
But it’s all I need
With this circle of friends and
The Lord at our side
The possibilities will never end
True friends are treasures to hold up high
For the ones not so true will always pass you by.

1 Samuel 18:1,3After David finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David. He loved him as himself….Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.

A Little Marriage Blessing

As it was approaching a faimly wedding I sat down to write a special blessing to the happy couple and came up with this. I also then wrote one for the couple themselves, but I'll save that for another day. So many of us get married but don't always have the blessing of Our Father. After all shouldn't the Father bless the union first?

Today You Marry

In this world are two souls
Who are destined to be one
We make ourselves crazy
Finding the right one
Few think they do
But end up alone
Then there is the two of you
You have found your way
Through all the sea of searching souls
to match from Heaven
A whole new start is on your doorstep
The possibilities are endless
Love the Lord
For your union He will bless
He will fill your hearts more times than you’ll know
With blessings at home or on the go
Just listen for His guidance
He’ll take you a distance
Only He will know
Cherish one another
Respect each other
Have faith in your partner
And our Lord God above
For He will be with you
All stops on the way
Congratulations for finding your way,
 to your best friend.

Ephesians5:25-28Husbands love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. To make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word and to present her to himself as a radiant church without stain, wrinkle or any other blemish but hold and blameless

8 years and counting

Last month of September 11 it marked my 8th wedding anniversary for my husband and I. We didn't have much to give gift wise so I wrote this for my husband as a gift to him.

This Day Our 8th Forever and for Always

Eight years ago I married my best friend
and pledged there'd be no end
Twas then a fire in me lit
from a tiny spark
that turned my world from dark
we seemed a perfect fit
life moved quick
and pulled us through thin and thick
it tested us till we were weary
but through it all when I got teary
you were there
You were there just for a smile
or to push me that mile
you were here then and now
not sure how
but we've made it through
God brought me to you for reasons unknown
but hear me when i say
He blessed our union on this day
and promised to let us be together forever
and in the power of prayer
i believe He has remained true
to me and you
So as I remember our pledge on that day 8 years ago
forever in your arms I'll always feel
how much you want me
Forever in your heart I'll always hear a beat for every kiss you give
Forever in your eyes I'll always see the look of the one loves me
I pray you'll do the same
I said then and I say it now
I'm keeping you forever and for always!

About Me

My photo
We all have gifts given to us by The Lord God above even before we were a glint in our parents eye. The Lord designed each one of us to have a gift. What we choose to do with the gifts he gives us is what matters. I chose to share my gift with the world. I'm not a professional. I have had no educational training in poetry writing other than basic english that they teach you in school. All my poems are inspired by God's word and the desire to have a better relationship with him. I have also been inspired by life events that God has led me to healing for. I am a mother of 2 boys trying to do my best to please the father and raise my boys to live the same way.
