In continuing with my happy Come Sing With Me post, I thought this might be appropriate to follow. I've always like the idea of the sandman helping us to sleep when we have troubles. One night as I pondered what to write, the song "Mr. Sandman" came to mind. Hmmm now how could I turn that into a poem praising the Lord. After all He is the one who helps us when were are troubled.
My Gracious Lord
My Gracious Lord
Bring me a Savior
Make Him the most Glorious that I’ve even
seen
Fill him up with grace and forgiveness
To pour out like a stream
Let Him know He has won me over
My Gracious Lord
I’m not done
Give Him my sins to stomp on
Return to me strength and knowledge
Of what I must do to keep true to You
Send me a Savior
To protect and guide me
So that evil is thrown far past the sea
Send me a Savior
To cherish and favor
For all He did for this Earth
Let me love Him like no other
As if He were my brother
Send me a Savior
That will lead me home to You
I’ll follow Him till my days
On Earth are through
My Gracious Lord
Bring to me my Savior
When my days on Earth are through
So that He me lead me to You
My Gracious Lord
Thank you for my Savior
To love forever more.

This poetry is not only Praise to God but it is also a testimony of His work in my life. Even when I haven't paid attention, He was there through it all. God Loves Me even though I am not perfect and that's enough for me.
